HET PERFECTE PLAATJE!
In case you will be shooting lightly packed and do not wish to carry your entire photo backpack, the WANDRD ROGUE SLING is a great solution. It hangs on your back, but you can easily pull it to your belly with one turn to take out equipment or other gear. Nature photographer Johan van der Wielen set off with the ROGUE SLING. Destination: Schiermonnikoog. Transportation: on foot and by bike. Watch his story and video as well as his opinion on the WANDRD ROGUE SLING.
Maaike Luijten is a professional photographer. She does a wide variety of photo shoots with her company Moments by Maaike. As a result, there is a lot of variation in her working weeks. An example of a workweek: Monday 3 DUO-SHOOTS, Tuesday and Thursday company shoots, Friday a wedding to be photographed and on Saturday taking photos for the newspaper on behalf of the municipality of Diemen, her hometown. A speciality of Maaike is making Duo shoots (DUO-SHOOTS.IM), which she makes together with her colleague Ivanildo Schmeltz, who by the way, like Maaike, also owns a WANDRD bag. Maaike says: "I prefer to photograph when people are at their purest; like at a wedding, but also at a farewell (funeral); so valuable for the bereaved."
People who encounter Maaike in Diemen or Amsterdam during her photographic work always see her with her WANDRD - PRVKE Light on her back. Just after the first Corona lockdown in March 2020, Maaike made a very special book with her bag: AMSTERDAM Vol Leegte (Amsterdam Full of Emptiness). A book with very special photos of an empty Amsterdam. An image that we will hopefully not see again in real life anytime soon, but a unique situation that has led to the beautiful photos in the book. The angle at which the photos were taken is particularly special. Maaike therefore did not shy away from any means to get the shot she wanted. For example, she arranged and climbed a ladder truck from the fire brigade to take photos from a great height. And then a fine bag like the PRVKE Light is no luxury.
Johan van der Wielen always carries a particularly large amount of gear with him. "For me, a photo backpack has to have enough space and be comfortable to carry," he says. Johan took the WANDRD PRVKE 41L to about the coldest tip of the habitable world.

Nature photographer Johan van Der Wielen walks a lot and takes a lot with him. An ideal photo bag should therefore carry well in particular; "carrying comfort is a priority for me. But of course it is also about layout, ease of use, etc."
In this video, Johan shows us the new WANDRD FERNWEH; a large outdoor backpack with lots of new features. Whether everything is handy and whether it really is as ultimate as described, he will show you. Already a spoiler: "it is already the bag with the greatest carrying comfort I have ever had!"
